Registered Nurse - Home Care/Hospice (Travel/Contract)

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description

Home Care/Hospice RN position
Requires Home Care/Home Based (HCHB) and travel experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Must be willing to case manage and maintain a caseload
Minimum 1 year of case managing experience required
This is a non-inpatient role; travel throughout the day is required
Candidate must have their own car for travel

Required Credentials & Compliance

Government Issued Photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required annually
Professional certifications as applicable:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as required
State License primary source verification required
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
Competency Exam as applicable by specialty
Nursing Competency Self Assessment required for RNs

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required annually)
Fit testing for N95 mask will be done onsite
Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 1 year of start or chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire for positive responders
Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella (Chicken Pox)
Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)

Additional Requirements

Two professional references within 3 years of start
