Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Endoscopy) - Anchorage, Alaska
Position Details

- License Requirement: Must have Alaska RN license in hand for auto offer; pending license accepted but preference for Alaska RN license
- Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
- Block Schedule: Accommodations available
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (must live at least 50 miles from facility)
- On-Call: Yes, every 5th weekend
- Time Off Requests: One time off request per 13-week assignment, up to 5 days; no holiday time off for auto offer
- Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks; may be called off for one 10-hour shift every 2 weeks
Required Certifications
- Mandatory: BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Preferred: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), SGNA Certification
- Additional Certifications: Check unit details for requirements such as NRP, Chemotherapy, EFM, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification, IV Certification, MAB, and others as applicable.

Licensing & Background Requirements
- Background Check: Must be completed within 45 days of start; covers all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
- Education Verification: Required for all candidates; international education requires diploma/transcripts or CES report
- NURSYS Verification: Required for all RNs
- State-Specific Checks: Washington and Oregon state-specific searches if applicable
- Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start; instant tests not accepted
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years from supervisors in comparable specialty
- Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format; 7 years for APN/subcontractors
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit Mask Test: Required for travel starts on or after 2/5/2024; updated annually
- Vaccinations:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Hepatitis B - vaccine series or signed declination; Alaska placements require positive titer and vaccine series
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Flu Vaccine - required during flu season or declination
- COVID-19 Vaccine or declination (required if onsite)
- TB Test: Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months; updated annually
- Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required for all new travel starts on or after 2/5/2024; annual clearance for respirator use
