Travel RN Opportunity – Renal Unit (Tuscaloosa, Alabama)
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Renal Unit (MS/Tele Renal 4S)
- Employment Type: Travel
- Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Work Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
- Schedule: Every other weekend, holidays as required
- Patient Facing: Yes
- Clinical or Non-Clinical: Clinical
- EMR System: Meditech
- Dress Code: Solid Navy scrubs
- Parking: Available
- Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
Unit Description
- 36-bed Renal Unit caring for patients with acute or chronic kidney disease
- Focus on renal replacement therapy, post-hemodialysis, and ongoing peritoneal dialysis
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
- Collaborative care with nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists
- Dedicated to supporting patients throughout diagnosis, treatment, and beyond
Requirements
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
- Licenses: Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact license (No temporary licenses accepted)
- Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
- Experience: Minimum 2 years nursing experience; will consider 18 months if under highest professional license with at least 1 year in renal specialty
This role is ideal for RNs with renal experience seeking a travel assignment in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
