Unit Description

Acute care trauma and surgical patient population
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
Interdisciplinary team approach
Patient populations include trauma, orthopedic, and urology patients
Collaboration with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgical specialists
Focus on individualized patient care

Requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing

Certifications

AHA BLS or Red Cross

Licenses

Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or Compact license (No temporary licenses accepted)
NURSYS verification required

Experience

Minimum 2 years nursing experience
Will consider 18 months experience under highest professional license
At least 1 year experience in trauma or related specialty

Additional Information

Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
Clinical, patient-facing role
Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
Dress code: Solid navy scrubs
