Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Shift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (Clinical Nurse I) coordinates and implements patient care tailored to the age of the patient population on assigned units. The role ensures quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards. The nurse demonstrates professionalism aligned with the unit’s mission and goals, maintaining respectful interactions with staff, physicians, patients, and families.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Licenses & Certifications
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
- BLS Certification (must be maintained without grace period for renewal)
Skills
- Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the patient population served
- Sensitivity to patients’ rights in care delivery
- Clear and age-appropriate communication skills
Experience & Supervision
- Responsible to Patient Care Director or Manager
Work Environment
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
- Exposure to x-rays
- Clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment
- Subject to stressful professional relationships
- Flexible working hours due to schedule changes and emergencies
Physical Requirements
- Ability to handle emergency/crisis situations
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Heavy physical effort for positioning, pushing, or transferring patients and equipment
- Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
- Good judgment of distance and space, peripheral vision, color identification
- Normal or correctable hearing and visual acuity
- Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination required
This position is ideal for RNs seeking a travel assignment with night shifts in a dynamic hospital environment.
