Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Longview, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (Thursday - Saturday)

• Scrubs: Any color allowed
• EMR System: Epic experience preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Must hold a valid Washington state radiology license
• Required Certifications:

  • ARRT (MR)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Preferred/Additional Certifications (depending on unit):

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) for ICU, ER, PCU, Cath Lab, PACU, Tele, Respiratory Therapists
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) for PICU, ER, PACU
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) for NICU, Nursery, Antepartum, Postpartum, Labor & Delivery
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required for ER; preferred for ICU
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) for L&D, Mother-Baby/Postpartum, Nursery
  • NIH Stroke Certification for ED, Cath Lab, ICU, CV Surgery, MS/Tele, Neurology, and Techs
  • Chemotherapy certification for Oncology
• Respiratory Therapists must have WA RT License and verification

Background Checks & Compliance

• Background check required within 60 days of start (7-year search including SSN trace, counties/states lived/worked, federal and national criminal searches)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks must be run 15 days prior to start and every 45 days thereafter
• Social Security verification required (candidates may start pending this if I-9 and eVerify are on file)
• Washington State Patrol check must be run within 90 days prior to start for WA placements
• SSA Release form must be signed (for direct hires)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required for non-clinical candidates)
• Fit mask test within 1 year and updated annually (required for onsite candidates)
• Full Tdap vaccine or declination required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual renewal not required)
• Immunity or vaccination/declination documentation required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccination series, or declination)
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
• Drug testing required within 30 days of start (specific panels required)
• Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31) with medical or religious exemptions accepted for AK and WA candidates
• COVID-19 vaccine religious exemptions accepted with signed forms

Orientation & Training

• Must complete PeaceHealth Orientation Manual and pass Orientation Information Quiz with 100% score prior to start
• Profession-specific orientation modules required (e.g., RN, LPN, Nurse Tech, Allied Health, CNA, Surgical Tech, Non-Clinical, Home Health)
• Traveler Orientation Checklist must be completed and brought on first day
• Review of policies including Dress Code, Personnel Restrictions Due to Illness, Masking Policy (N95 fit testing onsite, facial hair policy)
• Computer access setup required within 48 hours of receiving access emails

Documentation & Other Requirements

• Passport-style photo with white or gray background for badge
• Criminal Disclosure Statement signed prior to start
• Demographic form due 2 Fridays prior to start
• Various declination forms available for vaccines (Hep B, TDAP, MMR, Varicella, Flu, COVID)
• Employment application and work history verification (last 7 years, with 1 year in specialty) required
• Two professional references from Charge RN or higher within last 3 years covering 1 year in specialty
