Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel Contract

Location: Longview, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Shift: 4x10 hour night shifts (Sunday through Wednesday)
• Start Date: ASAP (typically 4 weeks from offer for compliance)
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• First Time Travelers: Not accepted
• Locals: Not accepted
• Call: None
• Scrubs: Any color allowed
• EMR System: Epic experience preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Must hold a valid Washington state radiology license
• Required Certifications:

  • ARRT (MR)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Preferred/Additional Certifications (depending on unit):

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
  • CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
  • NIH Stroke Certification
• Respiratory Therapists must have WA RT License and verification

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Background check required within 60 days of start (7-year search including SSN trace, counties/states lived/worked, federal and national criminal checks)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks must be run 15 days prior to start and every 45 days thereafter
• Social Security verification required (candidates may start pending this if I-9 and eVerify are on file)
• Washington State Patrol check must be run within 90 days prior to start for WA placements
• Must sign SSA release for social security verification

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required for non-clinical)
• Fit mask test within 1 year and updated annually (required for onsite candidates)
• Full Tdap vaccine or declination required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual TB questionnaire if positive TB)
• Immunity or vaccination/declination documentation required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug testing required within 30 days of start (specific panels required)
• Flu vaccine or declination documentation required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccine religious exemption forms available if applicable
• Respiratory safety clearance required for onsite candidates, updated annually

Orientation & Training

• Must complete PeaceHealth orientation manual and pass orientation quizzes with 100% score prior to start
• Orientation modules assigned based on profession (RN, LPN, Nurse Tech, Allied Health, CNA, Surgical Tech, ED Tech, Non-Clinical, Home Health)
• Traveler orientation checklist must be completed and brought on first day
• Must review policies including dress code, personnel restrictions due to illness, masking policy, and daily responsibilities

Additional Notes

• Two professional references required from Charge RN or higher within last 3 years, covering at least 1 year in specialty
• Employment history verification required for last 7 years with proof of 1 year in specialty
• Passport-style photo with white or gray background required for badge
• Various declination forms available for vaccines (Hep B, TDAP, MMR, Varicella, Flu, COVID) if candidate chooses to decline
• Candidate must complete facility-specific forms such as criminal disclosure, demographic form, and confirmation of standards checklist prior to start
• Computer access setup is time-sensitive and must be completed promptly upon receiving access emails
