Radiation Oncology Dosimetrist (Contract)

Job Overview

A short-term dosimetry contractor is needed to provide coverage during a staffing transition at a community-based cancer center. The role supports uninterrupted patient care by handling a full range of dosimetry planning activities.

Program & Equipment

• Two Radiation Oncologists on staff
• Physics support through partnership with OnePhysics
• Equipment includes:

  • Two matched Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators
  • Eclipse Treatment Planning System
  • ARIA Oncology Information System
  • RadFormation suite (ClearCheck, AutoContour, etc.)
  • Brainlab installed; SRS program in early implementation

Responsibilities

• Provide remote or on-site dosimetry coverage during an immediate vacancy
• Support planning activities including 3D, IMRT/VMAT, SBRT, image import/registration, contouring support, and replans
• Collaborate with radiation oncology and physics teams
• Ensure timely, high-quality plan delivery to avoid treatment delays

Ideal Candidate

• Experienced and reliable medical dosimetrist
• Proficient with Eclipse and ARIA systems
• Comfortable working in a busy, community-based cancer center with expanding technology
• Able to start quickly and commit to temporary coverage during recruitment

Certifications & Experience

• CMD preferred but not required
• Required: Experience with Eclipse, ARIA, and TrueBeam
• Strongly preferred: Experience with RadFormation and SBRT
• Optional but beneficial: Brainlab/SRS experience
• State license not required
• BLS/BCLS certification required

• Candidate must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility
