Required Certifications & Experience

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in level 3 or 4 NICU
• Experience caring for level 3 NICU infants including:

  • High Frequency vents, conventional vents, CPAP, NIMV, HFNC
  • Nitric oxide therapy
  • Whole body cooling
  • OG/NG/PO feedings
  • UAC, UVC, PICC, PIV lines
  • Attending high risk deliveries and all cesarean section deliveries

Preferred Skills

• STABLE certification

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 25 plus overflow beds on pediatric floor
• Patient Ratios: Typically 3 feeders, 2 CPAP, 1 nitric oxide, 1 cooling (varies by acuity)
• EMR System: EPIC
• Float Requirements: Possible float to mother-baby or pediatrics, but unlikely due to high census
