Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Greensburg, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Current Pennsylvania RN license required at time of submission
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (preferably American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
• NIH Stroke Certification (must be updated annually)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification required for ER & Behavioral Health units

Background and Compliance Checks

• Background check within 30 days of start, including SS trace, county searches (last 7 years), nationwide sex offender check, and PA statewide patch certificate
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprinting required (detailed process and follow-up required)

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or Tspot) within 1 year; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year plus annual TB questionnaire
• Annual TB questionnaire required for past positive TB
• Immunizations or positive titers within 10 years for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
• Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer within 10 years, or signed declination
• Negative 15-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or accepted declination required during flu season (10/1/2024 – 4/1/2025)

Competency and Skills

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% or meet/exceed Angoff score)
• Competency Exam (minimum 80% or meet/exceed Angoff score)
• Annual Skills Checklist

• 2 professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles
• 1 professional reference required for per diem non-acute care roles

This position requires strict adherence to all licensing, certification, health, and facility-specific documentation and training prior to start date.
