Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel/Contract Opportunity

Location: Belleville, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Night shift
• No call required
• Patient care split: 20% Obstetrics (OB) / Labor & Delivery (L&D), 80% Medical-Surgical (Med Surg)
• Must be able to manage L&D patients, with majority of care focused on Med Surg
• Local candidates are welcome

Required Credentials & Compliance

Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA only, required for all acute nursing units
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only, required as applicable
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA only, required as applicable
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – as required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – preferred but not required; facility is a Level IV Trauma Center
• State Nursing License verification required
• NURSYS verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) required
• Tech Certification verification as applicable
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (signed HIPAA or CORE testing acceptable)

Background Checks & Verifications

• 7-year criminal background check within one year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for every contract renewal/extension
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for every contract renewal/extension
• State-specific exclusion check (Kansas Medicaid Program Integrity)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually; additional physical exam and drug screen onsite prior to first shift
• Negative TB test (Qgold or 2-step PPD within 30 days of start) or chest X-ray if previously positive, with annual TB questionnaire
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declinations not accepted)
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters recommended if titers are low/equivocal
• Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters recommended if titers are low/equivocal
• Hepatitis B: titer, series, or declination
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (11/15–3/31), with medical exemptions reviewed by Ethics Committee
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually; additional drug screen onsite prior to first shift

• Two references or hospital evaluations

Additional Notes

• Facility will conduct secondary physical exam and drug screen onsite before first shift
• Facility is a Level IV Trauma Center
• No call responsibilities

This position is ideal for RNs with OB and Med Surg experience who are comfortable managing L&D patients and prefer night shifts without call.
