Travel RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - MICU
Employment Type: Travel
Unit Description
- 16-bed high acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit
- Provides complex monitoring and treatment of adult patients
- Collaborative multidisciplinary care team focused on optimal patient outcomes
- Emphasis on patient comfort, safety, and security
Schedule & Hours
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays as required by facility
- Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week (36 guaranteed hours)
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
Requirements
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
Licenses
- Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or compact license (no temporary licenses accepted)
- Nursys verification required
Certifications
- Required:
- AHA ACLS
- AHA BLS
- AHA NIH or Red Cross equivalent
- Preferred:
- PALS (if working in pediatric unit)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience preferred
- Will consider 18 months experience under highest level of professional license
- At least 1 year experience in MICU or relevant specialty required
