Travel RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

Unit Description

• 16-bed high acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit
• Provides complex monitoring and treatment of adult patients
• Collaborative multidisciplinary care team focused on optimal patient outcomes
• Emphasis on patient comfort, safety, and security

Schedule & Hours

• Every other weekend required
• Holidays as required by facility
• Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week (36 guaranteed hours)
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (required)

Licenses

• Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or compact license (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Nursys verification required

Certifications

• Required:

  • AHA ACLS
  • AHA BLS
  • AHA NIH or Red Cross equivalent
• Preferred:

  • PALS (if working in pediatric unit)

Experience

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience preferred
• Will consider 18 months experience under highest level of professional license
• At least 1 year experience in MICU or relevant specialty required
