Description
Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech
Location: Seattle, Washington
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Employment Type: Travel/Contract (Temp to Hire)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 13 weeks)
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM – 5:15 PM (5x8hr days)
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year working in an adult outpatient clinic
First-Timers Accepted: Yes
Weekend Requirement: No
On-Call Requirement: No
Certification Required: BLS (Basic Life Support)
License: Must have license in-hand at time of contract signature (no pending licenses accepted)
Local Candidates: Accepted within 50-mile radius
Non-Local Candidates: Accepted; must provide statement confirming willingness to relocate for permanent hire if offered
Floating: Possible floating between clinics within skillset; primarily at Beacon Hill clinic with occasional shifts at Canyon Park location
Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
Guaranteed Hours: Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per pay period (every 2 weeks)
Transportation: Reliable personal transportation required (public transportation not acceptable)

Important Notes
- This is a TEMP TO HIRE position; permanent hire is possible at the end of the contract based on performance and mutual interest.
- Candidates should be seasoned and open to a full-time opportunity if offered.
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background Check: Must be completed within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually. Includes SSN trace, death master index, nationwide checks, sex offender registry, education verification, motor vehicle record (if applicable), and international background if applicable.
- Education Verification: Required for all candidates; nursing degrees verified for RNs/LVNs; related degrees or high school for allied/non-clinical.
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years (6 months for CNAs).
- Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format.
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation.
- Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (instant tests not accepted).
- Immunizations & Health Requirements:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination accepted
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer or declination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer or declination
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Fit Mask Testing: Required for travel candidates starting on or after 2/5/2024; must be medically cleared annually for respirator use.
- Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology competency as applicable.
- Skills Checklist: Required and must be updated annually for applicable units.
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Must be AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certified.
- Other certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) may be required depending on specialty but not mandatory for this role.
Training & Modules
- Completion of Providence Health and Services WorkRamp modules as assigned, including:
- Core regulatory requirements annually
- Specialty-specific modules if applicable
- Epic training modules (required for EPIC charting proficiency)
Additional Requirements
- Reliable transportation (personal vehicle) is mandatory.
- Must comply with Providence Health and Services floating policy (may be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance).
- Must have all required licenses and certifications verified prior to start.
