Description
Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel/Contract Position
Location: International Falls, Minnesota
Specialty: Acute Care Physical Therapy (80-90% general outpatient PT, 10-20% inpatient/swing bed)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (No weekends)
- EMR System: EPIC
- Minimum Experience: 1 year of outpatient/inpatient PT experience required
- Average Patients per Day: 10-13
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- First Timers Accepted: Yes
- Locals Accepted: Yes, at travel rate
- Dress Code: Business Casual
- Parking: Free residential parking available
- COVID & Flu Policy: Declinations accepted for both
- Return to Office (RTO): All RTO documentation must be submitted at time of application; no additions accepted after offer
- Compliance: All required documents must be completed before starting; compliance processing may take 2-3 weeks
- Flexibility: Travelers expected to be flexible with territory
Qualifications
- License: Must have Minnesota Physical Therapist License in hand at time of submission (pending licenses considered)
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (within one year of hire)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in a health-related field with technical knowledge of electronic medical records (preferably EPIC)
- CPR: Current CPR documentation required

Job Summary
Plans, organizes, and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients according to physical therapy principles and practices. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Required Documentation and Compliance Items
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
- Emergency Contact Form
- Background Checks (7-year search including SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender registry)
- Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Certifications: ACLS (preferred), BLS (required), PALS (preferred)
- State License Verification (primary source online verification)
- Competency Exams as applicable
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year
- Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination or Declination (required during flu season, 10/1 - 3/31)
- Professional References (2 for travel/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care)
