Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist (Rehabilitation Therapy)

Location: Minot, North Dakota
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide rehabilitative services to home health and hospice patients.
• Perform treatment, rehabilitation, and safety interventions for home health patients.
• Provide maintenance, education, and safety support for hospice patients and their families.
• Plan coordinated therapy services for individuals and families under care.
• Assess individual and family health needs and potential hazards.
• Work primarily with the geriatric population.
• Deliver care according to established performance standards and departmental policies.
• Document all care and interventions in compliance with Home Health/Hospice Department guidelines.

Schedule

• 40 hours per week (5 days, 8 hours each)

Requirements

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in North Dakota.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist strongly preferred.
• Recent travel experience required.
• Cerner experience strongly preferred.
• Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule (locals within 50 miles not accepted).
• Competencies unique to Home Health:

  • Documentation accuracy
  • Understanding of regulations
  • OASIS accuracy
  • Competency in drug medication review when the only discipline in the home
