Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP, options include 12/29 or 1/12
• Shift Schedule:

  • Surgery: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays from 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Birthing Inn: Wednesdays from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• On-Call Requirements:

  • Two weeknights from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Every 3rd weekend, 24-hour shifts Saturday to Sunday for C-sections in the Birthing Inn
  • Must be available with a 30-minute response time
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
• Certifications Required: NBSTSA
• Additional Requirements:

  • Must have C-section experience
  • Ability to work in both Surgery and Birthing Inn
• Locals Accepted: Yes, but at a lower rate
• First Time Travelers: Not accepted

Required Background Checks & Compliance

• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• State-specific caregiver screening for Wisconsin
• Compliance checklist and confidentiality statement must be completed prior to start

Required Certifications

• NBSTSA (required)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as required
• Other certifications as applicable to specialty and profession

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (Chest X-Ray within 60 days if applicable)
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct-Mar)
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 14 days before start

Competency & Documentation Requirements

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Color blind testing if working in dialysis/kidney center (not applicable here)
• Skills checklist required annually
• Photo for badge (passport style, no filters)

References

• Two professional references verified within 2 years of start
• For inpatient RNs (MS, MS/TELE, IMC, Stepdown, ICU): one reference must be from most recent acute care assignment with performance comments

This position requires a skilled surgical services professional with C-section experience, flexibility to work in both surgery and birthing settings, and availability for on-call shifts including nights and weekends. Compliance with all certifications, health screenings, and facility-specific documentation is mandatory.
