Description

Job Opportunity: Therapy/Rehabilitation - Travel/Contract

Location: Brownwood, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Work Schedule: 8-hour days, 5 days a week


Key Requirements and Documentation

Employment & Background Checks

  • I9 or Attestation required
  • Government Issued Photo ID (Driver's License/State ID) required
  • E-Verify or Attestation required
  • 7-year Background Check required within 1 year of start; must be updated annually
  • Background check components include SSN, counties, national, OFAC, sex offender, motor vehicle (for Home Health only), and education verification
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
  • State-specific checks for Texas (DADS Employability Status and Employee Misconduct Registry) required within 30 days of start

Certifications (AHA Only unless otherwise noted)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - as applicable
  • CHEMO (Chemotherapy) - as applicable
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - as applicable
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - as applicable
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) - as applicable
  • NIH Stroke Certification - as applicable, with annual updates
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for Telemetry nurses
  • Tech Cert Verification - National, required within 30 days of start
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement, required and updated annually
  • State License Verification and NURSYS Verification required within 30 days of start

Competencies

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
  • Color Blind Testing (online Ishihara test accepted)
  • Competency Exam as applicable

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical Exam within 1 year of start; must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract
  • Fit Mask test (3M 1860 Regular or 1860S), updated annually
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray; annual TB Questionnaire required
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if titers negative/equivocal
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted; boosters if titer low/equivocal
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; booster if titer negative/equivocal
  • Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen with THC within 10 business days prior to start; facility conducts mandatory drug screen on arrival
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination or exemption required for 2025-26 season

  • References: 2 required within 3 years of start

  • Skills Checklist: required and updated annually
