Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Conway, South Carolina

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position: Cath Lab Tech
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 9 hours each (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
• Includes on-call rotation for evenings and weekends
• Urgent need to start prior to Christmas
• South Carolina license required
• Locals accepted at the same rate

Required Certifications & Licenses

• South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) state certification (for Cath Lab Techs/Radiology)
• ARRT certification (for Cath Lab Techs/Radiology)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense approved
• Other certifications as applicable (PALS, NRP, TNCC) depending on specialty and unit

Required Background Checks & Verifications

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated with contract renewals
• Education verification or transcript/diploma (upon client request)
• Primary source verification of state license
• NURSYS verification for RNs as applicable

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, stating candidate is free to work without restrictions
• Fit mask test within 3 months of start (except MLT)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Drug testing:

  • 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (instant acceptable) or
  • 15-panel drug screen within 30 days (facility-specific)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31)
• COVID vaccination preferred but not required

Competency & Documentation Requirements

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Color blindness test (facility notified if failed)
• Competency exams as applicable to profession/specialty
• Signed orientation safety manual or HIPAA acknowledgment
• Clear, passport-style photo for badge
• Signed agency job description prior to start
• Completion of facility-specific onboarding forms and online orientation modules before start date

References & Work History

• Two professional references within 2 years required for travel/allied/per diem acute care positions
• One professional reference required for per diem non-acute care positions
• Performance evaluations required if worked with agency over 1 year
• Internal evaluations required if worked with agency over 2 years
• Work history verification not required for clinical positions at this facility

Additional Notes

• Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
• Residency declaration form required if working on a compact license
• Facility requires completion of a short form application and onboarding modules prior to start
• Fit testing can be completed onsite with facility approval if necessary

This position is ideal for licensed Cath Lab Techs with required certifications and clearances who are available to start immediately and can commit to a 13-week travel contract in Conway, SC.
