Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Critical Care)

Location: Tuba City, Arizona
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Provide nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients in various clinical areas, including critical care settings such as PACU, ICU, or ED. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, operating special equipment, and responding to emergencies. Care is delivered following doctors' orders, standards of care, nursing policies, and hospital procedures.


Requirements

  • Licensure:
    Valid, current, full, and unrestricted Professional Nursing License from any U.S. state, territory, or Commonwealth.

  • Certifications:
    Must have and maintain throughout employment:

    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
      (All certifications must be from the American Heart Association)
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience (based on specialty years interpretation, the highest requirement is 3 years) within a critical care setting (PACU, ICU, or ED).

  • Prior Travel Experience:
    Not explicitly required.


Additional Information

  • Fingerprinting must be submitted and cleared prior to start.
  • RN license from any state is acceptable; Arizona state license is not required.
  • Shared contractor housing available based on availability (no family or pets allowed).
  • Orientation sessions occur every 2 weeks.
  • COVID & Flu vaccination exemptions may be accepted after submitting a declination form.
  • Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start.

Work Environment

  • The facility serves a culturally diverse community including Navajo, Hopi, Southern Paiute, Anglo, Hispanic, and African American populations.
  • The hospital provides a wide range of services including inpatient/outpatient emergency, dental, ophthalmology, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral and eye surgery, and urological procedures.
  • Nursing staff includes RNs, LPNs, nursing assistants, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, CRNAs, and community health medics.

This position offers an opportunity to work in a unique, culturally rich environment serving a large geographic area in Northwestern Arizona.
