Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Odessa, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Experience Required: 3 years (2-3 years strongly preferred, defaulting to higher)
• Work Setting: Main Operating Room
• Schedule: Monday to Thursday, with on-call 1 weekday and 1 weekend per month
• Orientation: 3-4 days

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - as applicable
• CHEMO (Chemotherapy) - as applicable
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - as applicable
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - as applicable
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) - as applicable
• NIH Stroke Certification - as applicable
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for RNs
• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience with robotic XI system
• Orthopedic, spine/neuro, general surgery, gynecology
• Some ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, vascular
• Trauma Level 2 experience

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• State license verification and NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
• Drug testing (negative 10-panel screen within 30 days of start)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (N-95 or equivalent required)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • TDAP within 10 years
  • Negative TB or chest X-ray (within 1 year, chest X-ray for positive responders)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella - positive titer or vaccination required
  • Hepatitis B - positive titer, series, or declination
  • Varicella - positive titer or vaccination
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct-April)
• COVID-19 vaccine preferred but not required
