Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Greensburg, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 17 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts
• All certifications must be current and in hand at time of submission

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – preferably American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – preferably American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• National Tech Certification as applicable (e.g., ASCP-HT or ASCP-HTL for Histology techs)
• State License verification (primary source online verification)
• NIH Stroke Certification (must be updated annually)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) – required for ER & Behavioral Health units

Required Competencies

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
• Competency Exam (minimum 80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)

Health and Background Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or Tspot) within 1 year; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year plus annual TB questionnaire
• Annual TB questionnaire for past positive TB cases
• Immunizations or positive titers within 10 years for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
• Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer within 10 years, or signed declination
• Negative 15-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination during flu season (10/1/2024 – 4/1/2025)
• Background checks within 30 days of start including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender, and state-specific checks
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprinting results required

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of orientation checklist, pandemic attestation, code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, disclosure statement, and other facility-specific documents prior to start
• Completion of various training and competency assessments (e.g., patient policy, interdisciplinary plans of care, skin integrity, mobility, catheter training) prior to start
• Review of cardiac procedure education binder and competency assessment for Telemetry units (if applicable)
