Description

Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Overview

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Shift: 8-hour evening shift (1:30 PM - 10:00 PM), 40 hours per week
  • Daily Caseload: 30-40 patients
  • Rooms: 2
  • Call Requirement: None
  • Float Requirement: None
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years (highest required)
  • Prior travel experience: Not required (unit accepts first-time travelers)
  • Must have EPIC experience
  • Skills/Technologies:
    • Phillips, EPIC, McKesson
    • Outpatient, Inpatient, ER, Community Hospital, Adult ICU
    • IV Starts, PACS, Contrast
    • Imaging areas: Extremities, Abdomen/GI, Spine/Pelvis, Head, Chest/Thorax, Musculoskeletal, Breast
    • Advanced imaging techniques: CINE, Diffusion (non-brain), Gradient Echo Imaging, Image Post-Processing, Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP), Multiplanar Reconstruction (MRP), Perfusion, Peripheral Magnetic Resonance, Spin Echo Images, Surface Coils, T-1 Weighted Images, T-2 Weighted Images
  • Patient Diagnoses: General MRI studies on a variety of ages and demographics; legacy implants performed

Orientation & Training

  • Unit Orientation: 40 hours (one week of training)
  • Scrubs: Any

Certifications & Licenses Required

  • ARRT certification
  • New Hampshire state license
  • ACLS (AHA Provider only)
  • BLS (AHA Provider only)
  • PALS (AHA Provider only)
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) preferred
  • Tech Certification (as applicable)
  • State License verification and copy required
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (OSHA education)
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for certain units
  • NIH Stroke Certification (if applicable)

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Background check within 30 days of start including:
    • Social Security Verification
    • National Sex Offender Registry
    • National Criminal Search
    • FACIS L3
    • Education Verification
    • Criminal county/state searches (excluding NH counties; NH State Police Search required)
    • BEAS State Registry (NH placements)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
  • Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 14 days prior to start (with a 7-day grace period)
  • References: Two current professional references within last 3 years (one must be a supervisor)
  • Employment Application and Skills Checklist required

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical Exam within 1 year prior to start
  • Fit Mask test annually (N95 or equivalent masks)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years (medical or religious exemptions allowed with documentation)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (True 2-Step PPD, Qgold, or Tspot within 1 year) plus TB Questionnaire
  • Immunity or vaccination documentation required for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (declinations accepted with waiver)
    • Varicella (history of disease NOT accepted)
  • Flu vaccination required during October 31 - April 1 period (medical or religious exemptions allowed with documentation)
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance (RespSafety virtual questionnaire) required for all clinical travelers

Additional Notes

  • Travelers who have ever been employed by any facility associated with this health system are not eligible
  • Locals accepted but with a rate reduction (not relevant for candidate consideration)
  • Facility uses Epic for medication, documentation, and communication systems

This position offers a structured orientation, a consistent evening shift schedule, and requires a solid foundation in radiology/cardiology imaging with EPIC experience. It is suitable for candidates with at least 2 years of specialty experience and no prior travel experience is necessary.
