Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity

Location: Laurinburg, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years required, 4 years preferred as a Registered Nurse
  • C-Section experience required
  • Trauma/gunshot wound experience required
• Travel Experience:

  • Will not accept first-time travelers (prior travel experience required)
• Shift:

  • 4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday (06:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
  • 1 day off per week (varies)
  • Call requirement: 1 night per week and 1 weekend (Saturday or Sunday)

Certifications & Licenses Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - as required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - as required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - as required
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - required for Labor and Delivery RNs
• State Nursing License (Primary Source Verification)
• NURSYS Verification (for all RNs)

Compliance & Documentation

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
• Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal check within a year of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education Verification or Diploma/Transcript for highest degree obtained
• Drug Testing: 9 Panel Drug Screen within a year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Physical Exam: Physician statement within last 12 months
• Immunizations and Titers:

  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Flu Vaccination or approved exemption required prior to start (seasonal requirements apply)
• COVID-19 Vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required

Additional Requirements

• References:

  • 2 professional references required for travel positions, within 2 years of start
• Performance and Internal Evaluations if previously worked with the facility
• Skills Checklist and Competency Exams as applicable, updated annually
• Orientation and facility-specific packets to be completed prior to start

Notes

• Candidates within 50 miles of the facility may be considered locals with adjusted terms.
• This position requires a high level of clinical expertise, especially in obstetrics and trauma care.
• Prior travel contract experience is mandatory; first-time travelers will not be accepted.
