Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel/Contract Opportunity
Location: Belleville, Kansas
Specialty: Registered Nurse (OB / Med Surg)

Job Description
- Night shift, no call required
- Patient care split: 20% Obstetrics (OB), 80% Medical-Surgical (Med Surg)
- Must independently manage Labor & Delivery (L&D) patients, including OB surgeries
- Primary nurse responsible for L&D patients from start to finish
- Another nurse without OB training will assist during delivery
- Majority of patient care will be medical-surgical
- Local candidates are acceptable
Required Experience
- Registered Nurse with OB and Med Surg experience
- Must be able to manage L&D patients independently, including OB surgeries
- Years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years in specialty (typical for travel RN roles with OB and Med Surg skills)
- Prior travel experience: Not required
Certifications & Licenses
- Current RN license (Kansas) with license verification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only, required for all acute nursing units
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only, required as applicable
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only, required as applicable
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - as required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - preferred but not required
- National tech certification verification as applicable
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
- I9 verification
- E-Verify compliance
- Background checks including:
- 7-year criminal check within one year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- State-specific exclusion checks (Kansas)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually; additional physical exam onsite before first shift
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually; additional onsite drug screen before first shift
- Immunizations and health documents:
- TDAP within 10 years (declinations not accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
- Annual TB questionnaire
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters recommended if low/equivocal titers
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or declination
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters recommended if low/equivocal titers
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (medical exemptions reviewed)
- Signed orientation safety manual acknowledgment (HIPAA or CORE testing acceptable)
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Competency exam as applicable by profession/specialty
- Skills checklist required
- Employment application/resume required
- Two references or hospital evaluations required

- Facility will conduct secondary physical exam and drug screen onsite prior to first shift
