Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NCCT or NBSTSA preferred
• Additional certifications may be required based on unit designation (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.)—verify per unit details

Licensure & Background Requirements

• Must have valid state license (pending license not accepted)
• Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Education verification required
• Drug screen: 10 panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination (Alaska placements require positive titer and vaccine series)
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
  • COVID vaccine or declination
• Fit mask test required for travel candidates (updated annually)
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates

Compliance & Training Requirements

• Must complete Providence WorkRamp modules as assigned prior to start (includes core, specialty, and regulatory modules depending on role and region)
• Epic training modules required for charting system access
• References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years required
• Skills checklist required annually for applicable units

Additional Notes

• Time off requests limited to one per 13-week assignment
• No weekend or on-call shifts required
• No floating to other units or facilities expected
• Candidates must be non-local (reside at least 50 miles away)
• First-time travelers accepted

This position is ideal for a Surgical Services professional with at least 2 years of experience in CVOR or related surgical tech roles, who is comfortable working 4x10 shifts in a Level II Trauma Magnet hospital setting in Anchorage, Alaska.
