Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Fayetteville, North Carolina

Position Details

• Contract Limit: Maximum of 2 contracts (can extend once), then must be gone for 6 months before returning

Required Experience

• Required Certifications:

  • ACLS (AHA or Military)

• Competency Exams:

  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (annual renewal required)
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) with up to 3 attempts, remediation required after failures
• Additional Testing: Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing required for multiple units including ICUs, Med Surg, Telemetry, Step Down, etc.

Facility & Job Specific Requirements

• Background Check: Required within 6 months of start; includes SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, sex offender search, and international search if applicable
• Education Verification: Required; diploma or transcript acceptable if verification unavailable
• Physical Exam: Required within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations & Health Requirements:

  • TDAP vaccine within last 10 years (no declinations accepted for new hires)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations accepted for new hires)
  • Hepatitis B: Vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination accepted
  • Flu Vaccine: Required year-round; medical or religious exemptions allowed with facility approval; must be updated annually
  • Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days required
• COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required but accepted if available

This position is ideal for experienced RNs comfortable with LTAC and Med-Surg/Telemetry settings, who can commit to a 13-week travel contract with weekend and floating requirements. Prior travel experience is not required, but first-time travelers are not accepted. Compliance with extensive health, certification, and facility-specific documentation is mandatory.
