Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Sayre, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (OR experience required)
• Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of prior OR RN experience
  • Experience in General Surgery and various procedures including ALIF, Anterior cervical function, Craniotomy, Kyphoplasty, Laminectomy/discectomy, Lumbar fusion, XLIF, Arthroscopy, Closed/Open reduction of fractures, Ortho/Spine, Spinal fusion, Total Joint Replacement (TJR)
  • Circulate experience required
• Work Setting Experience: Operating Room (OR)
• Licensing:

  • Pennsylvania license or compact license from home state must be in hand at time of submission
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP as applicable (check facility requirements)
• Charting System: Epic charting experience required
• Call Requirements:

  • 9-10 call shifts per 13-week contract
  • 3-4 weekend call shifts (all call hours are 12 hours)
• Travel Experience:

  • First-time travelers NOT accepted
  • Locals NOT accepted (must live 50+ miles from facility)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start (including social security trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender, state-specific checks)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 1 year of start
  • Education verification (ASN/BSN for RNs)
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by a licensed provider
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (QGold/TSpot preferred) within 90 days of start, updated annually
  • Respirator fit test within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Drug screening (9-panel) within 90 days of start
  • Required immunizations or titers: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • COVID vaccination (2 doses) or approved exemption (booster not required)
• Facility-Specific Training & Compliance:

  • Completion of caregiver HIPAA, DEI, infection control, OSHA, safety/security/emergency preparedness, sexual harassment, and SOGI training modules
  • Review and sign confidentiality agreement and job description prior to start
  • Completion of RN-specific modules including medication exam and suicide precautions quiz (must score 80% or higher)
• Other Requirements:

  • Photo for badge meeting specific guidelines (plain background, no hats/masks/glasses on head)
  • References: 2 professional references required
  • Employment application required
  • Unit-specific skills checklist within 1 year of start, updated annually

Additional Notes

• Scrubs provided
• EPIC test out process managed by facility training team
• Fingerprinting required through Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, results must be dated within 5 years of start
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered

This position is ideal for experienced OR Registered Nurses with strong surgical and circulating experience who have prior travel contract experience and meet all licensing and compliance requirements.
