Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity

Location: Jackson, Tennessee
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 8:45 AM – 9:15 PM with 1-2 weekend on-call shifts per month
• Holiday on-call shifts as applicable
• Experience circulating in all surgical areas required, including cases from craniotomies to laparoscopic cases and endovascular (except cardiovascular surgery)
• Epic experience within the last 12 months required

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
• Prior travel experience is not required (locals and first-time travelers accepted)

Certifications Required

• Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Certification (AHA, Apex, or HealthStream only; must be updated annually)

Licenses & Testing

• State nursing license verification required
• EPIC test-out required for all candidates (one attempt only; failure results in contract cancellation)

Background & Compliance

• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• Physical exam within one year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year of start; annual TB questionnaire required
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)

Immunizations & Health Requirements

• Flu vaccine required during flu season (11/1 – 3/31); no declinations or exemptions accepted
• COVID vaccination series required (or declination/medical/religious exemption)
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – 2 vaccines or positive titer with booster if low/equivocal
• Hepatitis B – titer or series with booster if low/equivocal
• Varicella – 2 vaccines or positive titer with booster if low/equivocal
• N95 Fit Mask test within one year of start, updated annually; no PAPR allowed

Documentation & Other Requirements

• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Complete employment application/resume required
• Skills checklist as applicable to specialty
• Appearance standards must be reviewed and signed prior to start

This position offers a surgical circulating RN role requiring strong perioperative skills, recent Epic experience, and compliance with comprehensive credentialing and health requirements.
