Experience Requirements

- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification

- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - Current certification by AAP, AHA, or Canadian Paediatric Society

- IV Certification (if applicable)

Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education Verification required for all candidates
- State-specific searches (Oregon Abuse/Neglect, Washington WSP/WATCH) as applicable
- Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors)
- Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit mask test (N95 or approved equivalent) required for travel candidates, updated annually
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer, boosters or declination accepted
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series or signed declination; titers accepted
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer, boosters or declination accepted
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination accepted
- COVID vaccine or declination required
- Respiratory Safety Clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates

This is a travel contract opportunity for an Echo Tech with at least 2 years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology. The position is located in a large, teaching, short-term acute care hospital in Portland, Oregon. The role does not require on-call, weekend, or block scheduling and maintains a 1:1 patient ratio. Candidates must meet comprehensive certification, background, health, and compliance requirements including immunizations, drug screening, and training modules. Floating to other nearby Providence facilities may be required.
