Travel RN Circulator - Carlsbad, New Mexico

Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday (5x8 hour shifts)
Call Requirements:

• Minimum 1 weekday call per week
• Weekend rotation on call
• On-call shifts Monday - Friday 3:30 PM - 7:00 AM, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM

Required Experience and Certifications

• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience
• Experience with general surgery, orthopedics, OBGYN, podiatry, plastics, endocrine, and trauma
• Adult and pediatric experience required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Facility and Unit Information

• Facility size: 99 beds
• Operating rooms: 6
• Approximately 250 procedures per month
• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 148 patients

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other staff to provide patient care
• Ensure availability of supplies and timeliness of surgical cases
• Communicate with patient families
• Update physician preference cards
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care

• Must adhere to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and hospital policies
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
