Job Details

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense accepted; AHA RQI acceptable
• BLS (Basic Life Support): ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense accepted; AHA RQI acceptable
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): As required; preferred for RRTs, required for ER
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Required for OB units
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): Preferred but not required for ER
• State License verification and NURSYS verification required

Experience Requirements

Compliance & Background Checks

• Immunizations and titers required or declinations accepted for:

  • TB (negative test or chest x-ray as applicable)
  • Hepatitis B
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine or declination (preferred, not required)

Additional Requirements

• References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
• Performance evaluations if previously employed with the system
• Skills checklist and competency exams required, updated annually
• Orientation: New Employee Orientation module to be completed prior to start (approx. 1-2 hours)
• Pass/fail testing on medication and EKG rhythm analysis during orientation (2 attempts allowed)
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training required for psychiatric units (not specified for this role)
