Registered Nurse (MS/Tele) - Travel/Contract
Location: Greer, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele)
- Shift Requirements:
- Must complete either 2 on-call shifts per 6 weeks OR 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks
- Start Date: January
- Patient Ratios: 1:6
- Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2 years (will consider 1+ year but 2 years preferred)
- First-time Travelers: Accepted
- Weekend Requirement: As needed
- Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
- Local Radius Rule: No locals accepted within 75 miles
- Pending License: Accepted if obtained before starting
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: All RTO must be included in initial submission; no changes accepted after
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or RQI acceptable
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or RQI acceptable
- NIH Stroke Certification (required for MS/Tele)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
- State RN License (Primary Source Verification)
- NURSYS Verification (for all RNs)
- Pass/Fail Testing on first day:
- Cardiac Arrhythmia Test
- Medication Dosage Calculation Test
- Candidates have two attempts to pass
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
Preferred Certifications
- CCRN (Critical Care RN) - preferred but not required
Special Requirements
- Must pass arrhythmia and medication tests on the first day
- May require shaving to pass fit testing; failure to comply results in failure of fit test
- Attendance policy: Missing more than two shifts in a 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may lead to contract cancellation
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year, updated annually
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 3 months of start (various accepted tests)
- Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (vaccine series, positive titer, or declination)
- Varicella
- Drug Testing within 60 days of start (10 panel + Oxycodone + Marijuana)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)
- COVID-19 vaccination (Dose 1 and 2 required or declination form)
- Respirator Safety Clearance within 1 year if respirator use is required
Background & Documentation
- 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Education verification: Highest level of education must be verified (Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate for RNs)
- Social Security Card (if used for I9)
- Government-issued photo ID required
- Employment application required
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
- References: 2 references within 2 years of start required (Qualivis requirement)
Additional Notes
- Candidates will be allowed to test out of Epic system
- Facility-specific orientation and documentation will be provided before start
- All required documents and certifications must be current and uploaded as per facility guidelines
This position is ideal for RNs with at least 2 years of experience in MS/Tele, who are comfortable with on-call or additional shifts, and meet the comprehensive certification and health requirements. Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
