Job Opportunity: CST/ORT Surgical Tech (Travel)

Job Description

• Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) providing compassionate care and maintaining nursing standards.
• Primary shift: Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3 pm.
• Participate in emergency call every third week for 7 days.
• Every other weekend is on call (work only if cases are posted).
• Main procedures involve open heart surgery.
• When no open heart cases, assist in other specialties including General Surgery, Urology, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery.
• Must have Operating Room or equivalent experience.
• Must be willing to float to other units/hospitals as needed.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Certifications

• AHA BLS or Red Cross certification.
• NIH certification.

Licenses/Training

• Completion of College Anatomy and Physiology I course.
• Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician OR
• Completed Central Sterile Processing certification OR
• Completed hospital-approved Surgical Tech certificate course (required).

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
• Will consider 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in the specialty field.

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit requirement for prior travel experience mentioned.
