Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Midland, Texas

Job Details

  • Location: Midland, Texas
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 16 weeks
  • Minimum Duration: 13 weeks
  • Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday (eve and day) during the contract
  • Work Areas: Rotate through triage, antepartum, labor, circulate, transition (no post-partum)

Licensure & Verification

  • State License: Must be valid in Texas and verified within 30 days of start
  • NURSYS Verification: Required within 30 days of start for RN, LPN/LVN, AP
  • Technical Certification Verification: Required for applicable allied health roles

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • 10-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start (all locations lived/worked)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
  • Texas-specific background checks including DPS Criminal History, Employee Misconduct Registry, and Employability Status Check required within 30 days prior to start
  • Confidentiality and security agreements, drug screening consent, TB questionnaire, and compliance checklists must be reviewed and signed prior to start

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start, must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
  • Fit Mask (N95 Fit Test): Required within 1 year of start (PAPR not accepted)
  • Immunizations:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest x-ray (within 12 months)
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or vaccination required
    • Hepatitis B: Positive titer or series required
    • Varicella: Positive titer, vaccination, or documented history required
  • Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; additional onsite drug screen during orientation
  • Flu Vaccination: Required October 1 - March 31 or agency declination with possible mask requirement

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete facility-specific documents and orientation prior to start
  • Two professional references required within 3 years of start
  • Resume or employment application required
  • Skills checklist updated annually
