Travel RN - OB (Nights)

Location: Statesboro, Georgia

Job Details

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
  • Call Requirements:
    • 2 x 12-hour call shifts per 6-week schedule
    • At least 1 call shift must be on a weekend
  • Floating: Required between departments in the Women's Pavilion
  • Patient Care Scope:
    • Care of well couplets and GYN patients
    • Occasional float to nursery for well baby holds and transition nurse duties
  • Patient Ratio:
    • 1:3 couplet care or up to 5 patients per nurse (if not in couplet care)
  • Unit Size: 20 beds
  • EMR Systems: CPN (GE) and Cerner
  • Scrubs: Navy

Requirements

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Obstetrics / Newborn Nursery
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years in specialty
  • Travel Experience: At least 2 previous travel assignments completed successfully (prior travel experience required)
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Preferred Experience:
    • STABLE certification
    • Experience with CPN and Cerner EMR systems

Role Summary

The RN is responsible for providing care to newborn nursery patients during the immediate neonatal phase and newborn care. The role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care. The nurse maintains clinical competencies through continuing education, delegates patient care priorities appropriately, and supervises assigned personnel delivering patient care.
