Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology - Travel/Contract

Location: Edmonds, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

  • Foot, Hand, Hip/Bony Pelvis, Knee, Lower extremity long bones, Shoulder, Sternum, Temporomandibular joint with/without contrast, Upper extremity long bones

Professional Knowledge and Skills

  • Isolation Precautions
  • Preparation and/or administration of contrast media

  • Management/lead experience (Preferred)
  • Starting Peripheral IV’s (Preferred)

  • Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP)
  • Multiplanar Reconstruction (MRP)

Special Imaging Procedures (Preferred)

  • CINE (Cerebrospinal fluid flow study)
  • Diffusion (non-brain)
  • Gradient Echo Imaging
  • Image post-processing (Apparent diffusion coefficient mapping, subtraction)
  • Peripheral Magnetic Resonance Angiography (Iliac, runoff)
  • Spectroscopy
  • Spin Echo Images

Spine (Required)

  • Cervical, Lumbar, Sacrum/coccyx, Spinal trauma, Thoracic, Thoracic Magnetic Resonance Angiography

Shift Details

  • Weekend Shifts: Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Certifications Required

  • ARRT MR (Magnetic Resonance)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Licensing

  • Must hold a valid state license (active compact license honored)

Health and Compliance Requirements

  • Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
  • Fit Mask test (annual, travel only)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination or declination during flu season
  • COVID vaccine or declination
  • Respirator Safety Clearance (annual for travel)

Background and Documentation Requirements

  • Background Check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • Education Verification required
  • Employment Application covering at least last 5 years
  • Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years (supervisor references)
  • Skills Checklist updated annually (if applicable)
  • Various state-specific background checks and registry searches as required by Washington state law

Additional Notes

  • Float Policy Acknowledgement required; may be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance
  • Facility-specific training modules and compliance training required prior to start and annually thereafter
  • Epic system training modules required for some regions and specialties
  • Radiation badges issued by facility for applicable units

This position is suitable for healthcare professionals with at least 2 years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology, including those new to travel assignments. The role requires strong skills in MRI imaging across multiple body systems and adherence to strict health, safety, and compliance standards. Weekend availability is mandatory.
