Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
- Open to 1st time travelers (prior travel experience NOT required)
- Shift: Rehab Days
- Option for 36 or 48 hour shifts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Required Certifications (as applicable)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
- NIH Stroke Certification (annual expiration)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
Licensure & Verification
- Primary source online verification of state license required
- NURSYS verification for RN, LPN/LVN, AP
- Education verification (highest level of education) required
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
- Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
- Skills checklist and work history verification (7 years) required
- Complete employment application/resume required
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
- Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- TB questionnaire if positive TB test (annual renewal)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history of chickenpox
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required
Additional Requirements
- Clear headshot photo for badge
- Driver’s license or state ID required
- Completion of orientation safety manual acknowledgment and core competency exams as applicable
- Behavioral Health RNs must have APNA eLearning Center certification for conducting face-to-face assessments in restraint or seclusion prior to start
This position is ideal for Registered Nurses with at least 1 year of experience who are interested in a travel contract in a rehabilitation setting, with comprehensive compliance and health documentation requirements.
