Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Schedule:
- Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 7:15)
- Weekends every other week (EOW)
- Holidays as needed (will work 2 of 3 major holidays)
- No time off approved between Christmas and New Year's
- Floating as needed, may be asked to float to rehab
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days, no scheduling requests approved
- Patient Population: May care for COVID patients
- Facility Environment: Tobacco and fragrance-free
Experience & Certifications
- Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted
- Required Certifications:
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Required System Experience: EPIC electronic health record system
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
Background Checks
- 7-year criminal background check (updated annually)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
- Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting within 1 year of start (must be on file within first 45 days)
- Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; chest X-ray if positive
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
- Seasonal Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required annually
- COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination accepted
- Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year (Aya requirement only)
- Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually
Certifications & Competencies
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit
- Pass/fail Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required (except OR and Home Health)
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- State license verification and NURSYS verification required
Facility-Specific Documents
- Professional passport-style photo for badge
- Review and sign facility policies including Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Commitment to Health & Wellness, Non-Employee Affidavit
- Completion of online Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to start
- New hire orientation required by end of first day
History & References
- Two professional references within 3 years required
- Most recent resume/application required
- Annual skills checklist required
- Performance evaluations completed onsite during assignment

- Candidates will be clinically screened for fit before manager interview
- No scheduling requests or time off between Christmas and New Year's approved

This position is ideal for Registered Nurses with at least 2 years of experience who are comfortable working night shifts, holidays, and floating as needed, and who meet the comprehensive compliance and health requirements. Prior travel experience is not required.
