Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Odessa, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Must be willing to float to other med/surg/tele units as assigned
• Facility will consider 48 hours per week or 36/48 alternating schedules
• Patient ratios up to 6:1

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse

• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for RNs
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual update)
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (required for RNs)

Background Checks & Compliance

• 7 Year Background Check required within 30 days of start; updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract)
• Fit Mask Test within 1 year; updated annually (N-95 or Halyard Orange Duckbill masks accepted; PAPR not accepted)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (PPD, QGold, or TSpot within 1 year; Chest X-Ray within 2 years for positive responders)
• Rubeola (Measles) immunity: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (booster if low/equivocal)
• Mumps immunity: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (booster if low/equivocal)
• Rubella immunity: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (booster if low/equivocal)
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series (3), or declination
• Varicella immunity: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (booster if low/equivocal)
• Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start; plan for completion within 72 hours of contract signing
• Flu Seasonal Vaccination or Declination (required during flu season Oct-April; mask required if declined until March 31)

  • HIPAA and Fair Warning Quiz Modules (within 72 hours of signing)
  • Orientation and Safety Training Modules (within 72 hours of signing)
  • Annual TB Questionnaire (updated if gap >30 days)
• Candidate must complete health record and compliance forms prior to start as required by facility
