Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Englewood, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Unit: Telemetry and Surgical (39-bed unit)
• Patient Ratio: Typically 1:5 up to 1:6
• Floating: May float between Main Campus (Dayton), South Campus (Centerville), and North Campus (Englewood)
• Schedule: Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays
• EPIC experience is required
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips

Required Certifications & Skills

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• IV Start Certification
• Telemetry Certification
• Ability to interpret telemetry strips
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (within 2 years)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (within 1 year or must pass within 72 hours of contract signing)

Licensure & Experience

• Ohio RN license required (primary source verification)
• NURSYS verification required
• Required years of specialty experience: Not explicitly stated (default to standard RN experience)
• Prior travel experience: Not required

Additional Requirements

• Physical exam within 2 years, indicating fitness to work and free of communicable diseases
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray (with annual questionnaire if past positive)
• Drug screening: 9 or 10 panel drug screen including marijuana, within 12 months
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• Respiratory Safety Clearance within 1 year, renewed annually
• Background checks including 7-year criminal background, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Two professional references within 2 years (one must be a manager/supervisor/charge RN) or employment verification if references unavailable
• Current resume/application required
• Skills checklist updated within 1 year
• Competency exams and other unit-specific requirements as applicable

Work Environment

• Telemetry and surgical unit with a 39-bed capacity
• Floating between multiple campuses within 15 miles
• Ratio typically 1:5 to 1:6
• Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives

• Premier Health reserves the right to cancel the agreement with 2 weeks’ notice without fee or fine
• Fingerprinting is not required for this unit
• Must comply with all facility-specific documentation and credentialing requirements prior to start
