Job Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (OR)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Prior Travel Experience: Required (unit requires previous travel experience)
- Shift: Day shifts
- Call: Required
- Weekend Shifts: 1-2 weekends per month
- Scrubs: Provided
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Other certifications may be required as applicable (e.g., NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, CPI, MAB, NIH Stroke Certification)
Compliance & Documentation
- Valid State License with primary source verification
- NURSYS Verification for RN license
- Background checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
- Education verification (transcript or diploma acceptable if final verification pending)
- Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (specific to New Mexico placements)
- Photo for badge
- Complete employment application/resume
- Unit-specific skills checklist (annual)
- 7-year work history verification
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required
Additional Information
- Candidates must consent to fingerprinting and background checks prior to start
- Orientation and EPIC training attendance allowed pending fingerprint clearance, but no unit work until clearance received
- Compliance with facility-specific policies and annual competency exams required
