Description

Radiology Technologist Travel Opportunity

Location: Twin Falls, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Required Certifications & Experience

  • ARRT registry for X-ray modality
  • BLS Certification
  • Strong surgery background required
  • Experience with C-arm, 3D C-arm, power injector required
  • O-arm experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • Fluoroscopy experience preferred
  • Prior travel experience: Not required (first-time travelers considered)

Department & Work Environment

  • Unit: Radiology
  • Number of rooms/scanners: 4 rooms + 1 in ER, 7 C-arms, O-arms, and portable units
  • Coverage areas: ER, inpatient, outpatient, OR
  • Average procedures per day: ~100
  • Equipment used: Philips X-ray and Portable, Siemens X-ray, CareStream, OEC C-arm
  • EMR/PACS systems: EPIC, McKesson/Change Healthcare PACS
  • No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs) on staff
  • No IV starts required

Scheduling & Shifts

  • Majority 10-hour shifts, typically starting between 8-10 AM
  • 6-7 techs on day shift with staggered schedules
  • Night shift coverage: 1 tech from 12:30 AM to 6 AM
  • Weekend requirement: Typically every other weekend on rotation
  • Holiday requirement: No holidays required; travelers used as last resort
  • Call/standby: Standby allowed if desired
  • Orientation: Up to 3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation provided
  • Scrubs: Surgical scrubs provided

Additional Notes

  • Radius rule: Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify
  • Lead tech and supervisors available during the week for support
