Nursing Contract Opportunity - Hilo, Hawaii

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Flex RN role floating between various medical and surgical units including:
- Medical Unit
- Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute)
- Cardiovascular Unit (rarely)
12-hour day shifts (06:45 AM to 07:15 PM)
Scheduled 36 hours per week after orientation (no guaranteed hours)
Equipment used: Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, chest tubes

Experience & Licensure Requirements

Required specialty experience: 2 to 10 years (use higher value: 10 years)
Must have an active Hawaii nursing license by start of assignment
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
Preferred certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC

Patient Ratios

Medical Unit: 1:6 (days/evenings), 1:8 (nights)
Laulima Unit: 1:6
Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4
Ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves

Orientation & Training

Orientation provided for each unit
Must arrive the Thursday before start date for employee health appointment on Friday

Dress Code

Professional nursing attire - clean scrubs

Additional Notes

Medical and religious exemption requests for immunity proof will not be accepted
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
