Job Description

• Flex RN role floating between various medical and surgical units including:

  • Medical Unit
  • Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute)
  • Cardiovascular Unit (rarely)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 to 19:15)
• Scheduled 36 hours per week after orientation (no guaranteed hours)
• Nurse-to-patient ratios:

  • Medical Unit: 1:6 (days/evenings), 1:8 (nights)
  • Laulima Unit: 1:6
  • Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4
• Equipment used: Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, chest tubes
• Dress code: Professional nursing attire (clean scrubs)
• Orientation provided for each unit

Requirements

• Must have an active Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment
• Medical and religious exemption requests for immunity documentation will not be accepted
• Specialty experience: 2 to 10 years nursing experience required (use higher end if uncertain)
• Certifications required:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Additional Information

• Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday
• Do not accept the start date if unable to arrive on time for this appointment
