Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Tele RN) - Conway, Arkansas

Position Details

• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Travel Radius: 100-mile radius rule - no locals accepted
• License Required: Arkansas State or Compact RN license
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
• Return Staff Policy: Must be off assignment for 1 year or more before returning
• Testing Requirements: Must pass a basic dysrhythmia (EKG) test

Certifications & Competencies Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only, required for all clinical candidates
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA only, required for Labor & Delivery and other applicable units
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA only, required for specific units such as Pediatrics, Emergency Department, Endoscopy, etc.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - As required
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - As required
• NIH Stroke Certification - Required for Tele and MS/Tele units
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam - Required for Tele Unit
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam - Required as applicable
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) - Candidates expected to pass lethal or full dysrhythmia test (may be unit-specific)
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement - Required
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing - Required for RN candidates

Background & Verification Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals/extensions
• Education verification required for all candidates
• State License Primary Source Verification (including NURSYS for RNs)
• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service
• Residency Declaration Form required if working on a compact license

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Initial physical exam, updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination required
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) or chest X-ray if previously positive, updated annually
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Titer or 2 vaccines required; 1 booster for low titers
• Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination required
• Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines required; 1 booster for low titers
• Drug Testing: 9 or 10 panel drug screen within 90 days of start (instant acceptable)
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination: Required for current flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); religious and medical exemptions accepted with proper documentation
• COVID Vaccination or declination accepted (agency form acceptable)

• Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations also accepted)
• Complete employment application/resume
• Skills checklist updated annually (for applicable units)
• Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the system over 1 year
• Internal evaluations required if previously worked with the system over 2 years
• Facility-specific forms such as TB Screening, Hepatitis B, and Disclosure Agreement must be completed prior to start

This position is ideal for RNs with at least 2 years of experience who are interested in a 12-week travel contract working night shifts in a Telemetry unit. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
