Travel Pediatric RN - Home Health Care
Location: Portland, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Position Details
- Specialty: Home Health Care
- Shift: Day shift (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours guaranteed
- Weekend Schedule:
- Every other weekend rotation with a weekday off, OR
- Permanent Tuesday-Saturday schedule with Sunday and Monday off, OR
- Permanent Sunday-Thursday schedule with Friday and Saturday off
- Schedule based on agency needs at time of contract
- Call Requirements: No overnight call. Call back required 2-4 times per month between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM if an extra visit is needed. Notification by 5:00 PM on the day of call.
- Contract Length: 26 weeks
Experience & Certifications
- Required Years of Experience: At least 2 years in specialty
- Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (assumed not required)
- Required Certifications: BLS
- Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience with Epic EMR and OASIS
- Home Health experience
- Preferred Skills:
- IV therapy
- Tube feeds
- VAC dressings
- Compression wraps
- Port access
- Ostomies
- Chest tubes
- S/p catheters
- Lab draws
Patient & Unit Information
- Patient Types: Adult med-surg, oncology, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, wound care, GI, GU patients
- Patient Load: Case manages 20-25 patients with an expectation of 5-6 visits per day; may be used as a re-visitor if agency needs change
- Equipment Provided: Agency laptop, iPhone with case and chargers, mouse, nursing supply bin, nursing bag with vital signs equipment, INR machine, agency bag (all must be returned upon contract completion)
- EMR System: Epic
Work Environment & Dress Code
- Personality Fit: Organized, collaborative, team-oriented, good communication skills, strong time management and documentation skills, open to feedback for improvement
- Dress Code: Business casual or scrubs (any color)
- Unacceptable Attire: No jeans, open-toed shoes, or clothing with holes

- No float requirements
- No overnight call required
