Job Opportunity: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Speech-Language Pathologist)

Location: Georgetown, South Carolina

Job Description

• Work location: Acute care float pool covering TWCH and TGMH inpatient units
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, plus every 3rd weekend call from 8 AM to 12 PM
• Responsibilities include acute care therapy and conducting modified barium swallow studies

Required Qualifications

• Acute care experience
• Experience with modified barium swallow study
• South Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license (SCLLR)
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Speech-Language Pathology)
• Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated, but acute care experience is mandatory (assume minimum 1+ years acute care experience)

Certifications & Compliance

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

• Physical exam and immunization documentation required (including TB test, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella)
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required annually
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations required
• Skills checklist and employment application must be completed

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge with specific guidelines (professional attire, white background, recent photo)
• Compliance with facility-specific policies including float pool policy and standards of conduct agreement
• South Carolina Medicaid exclusion list check required and must be updated monthly
