Registered Nurse (Med/Surg) - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Lebanon, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Med/Surg Registered Nurse
• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, Night shift (1800-0630)
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 3 weekends in a 6-week period (shift time 6p-6:30a)
• On-call: Possibility of being placed on call
• Floating: May be required to float depending on unit/hospital needs
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Years of Experience Required: 1 year (higher value confirmed)
• First-timers Accepted: Yes
• Locals Accepted: Yes (within 50 miles radius)

Certifications Required

• ACLS (AHA only, instructor and provider cards accepted)
• BLS (AHA only)
• PALS (AHA only, mandatory to start)
• NIHSS
• Telemetry experience REQUIRED
• Ambulatory and Med/Surg experience preferred

Additional Requirements

• Must be ambulatory
• Must have Telemetry experience
• Call-in shifts require picking up an additional shift to make up for the call-in

Background Checks & Compliance

• 7-year background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks annually
• Transcript/Diploma required
• State license primary source verification
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
• Physical exam within 12 months, updated annually
• Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (3M 1860R or 1860S masks)
• Immunizations: Tdap (within 10 years), Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (titers or vaccines)
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• References: 2 required
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams (medication/pharmacology, color blind testing)

Notes

• Travelers cannot start without PALS certification due to pediatric admissions on the unit
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
• Floating and on-call duties are possible and expected based on hospital needs
• Professional appearance required; scrub color is flexible

This position is suitable for RNs with at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience, who are comfortable working night shifts, weekends, and potentially floating or being on call. Telemetry experience is mandatory. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
