Description

Travel RN Opportunity – Stepdown Unit

Location: Fort Smith, Arkansas
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Stepdown
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Shift: Nights (3x12 hour shifts)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: Yes, as needed
Patient Ratio: 4:1
Unit Beds: 16
EMR System: EPIC
Equipment: Philips bedside monitors

Required Certifications

ACLS
BLS
NIHSS

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of RN experience in Stepdown or related specialty
Must have experience with:
- Post CV (cardiovascular) surgeries
- Post stroke care
- Titrating cardiac drips (Nitro, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Esmolol)
- Bipap use
- Utilizing Airvo respiratory device
- Recognizing deteriorating patients

Preferred Experience

ICU experience preferred

Patient Population

Post-op cardiovascular
Neurology/stroke
Respiratory
Stepdown and ICU level patients

Work Environment & Culture

Team-oriented, friendly staff
Dress code: Black scrubs; no hoodies allowed

This is a travel assignment in a well-established acute care hospital with a strong reputation for compassionate care and advanced services.
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
