Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts
• Weekends: Minimum every 3rd weekend, with occasional extra weekend shifts as needed
• Start Dates: January 21, January 28
• Floating: Mandatory floating within the site and across the system. Refusal to float may result in contract cancellation.
• Charting System: EPIC

Experience & Certification Requirements

• Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Registered Nurse
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only, required for this pediatric facility
  • Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., ACLS, NRP, TNCC, EFM)
• Licensure: Must have applied for Oregon RN License and submitted fingerprints to the Board of Nursing

Mandatory Compliance & Documentation

• Criminal background check (7-year search minimum)
• Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series or signed declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 12 months
• Flu vaccine or signed declination (seasonal requirement)
• COVID vaccine documentation or declination
• Respirator medical clearance annually (RespSafety questionnaire)
• Two professional references (supervisory or above, within 3 years)

Additional Notes

• Personnel may be mandatorily cancelled one shift per two-week pay period without cause or penalty due to low census.
• Parking is free in any unrestricted space.
• Scrub color: Any color except black and camo for all specialties/units.

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with pediatric experience who is comfortable floating and working in a dynamic children's hospital environment using EPIC.
